i have a xfx dd 7950 with really high temps of 80-90c at stock 925/1250 1.169volts

i have put new tim on mx-4 but thats not lower the temps at all, still the same
cpu is under a custom loop i would at the gpu but its not reference
case is a corsair 300r with 5 fans

is there anything i could try ti get lower temps

Something wrong with that card. I used to own two of them and at that speed they wouldn't pass 60c
I sold one and other my little brother uses and it's still running same temps in a very closed case also.

i guess there is something wrong with it as when i got it used,
it use to run at 65-70c then 1 fan stopped working so got another fans from a different 7950 then the temps have started to creep up more

You already tried what I was going to say about changing the paste. With the original fan stopped working it sounds to me like an hardware issue.

Nothing else I can say really :( someone else might know more though.

thanks for the replys and thats the temps when im playing middle eath shadow of mordor on ultra,

the last game i played was mw3 online but temps arw only 55-60c but thats not a demanding game

There is blocks available for these non ref gpus - google HEATKILLER® GPU-X³ 79X0 "XFX Edition" , running my card @ 1050/1400 - temps stay below 60c gaming.
