I've got a weird problem with my new 7950. It's a fresh installation of windows, and I've tried uninstalling, cleaning and reinstalling windows, but it still keeps happening.

3D mode is fine, games look great no errors seen.

In 2D mode, sometimes the image flicks up a few mm and then drops down again and at other times it glitches out massively and becomes unusable with horizontal stripes usually black or grey but sometimes colour, which at times shimmer.

You can see some pictures (large images from phone camera) here:

Does anyone have any ideas how to proceed? I'm not sure if it is likely the card is faulty or if the error is likely to be a driver problem. Current plan is to reinstall windows again, and see if it repeats itself. Thanks for any help or suggestions. I've failed to see similar faults on a few attempts at googling, but perhaps my google-fu is weak.

Looks like BGA problem.

did you try to remove the card and put it back again?
try to change to another pci-e slot?
can you try it in another pc?

do you get this errors before windows load? like inside your bios.

if your card still on the warranty, probably you will need to RMA it.

Thanks for the replies. It doesn't seem to do it before the login, I didn't see it do it before I installed the ATI drivers either. I'll try switching DVI cables and output. Unfortunately its an itx board so I can't try another slot. I'll try a few more driver versions. The last two times it did it, windows put up an error message about the graphics/display driver not responding barely legible, all blurry then BSOD'd (text completely illegible).
