I seen this psu for £68 + shipping on an other website and was wondering whether I should buy it. For £68 it seems extremely good value and it has got good reviews from jonnyguru.

I was going to build a rig in a few months and wait till then to buy a psu. Should I wait till then to buy it? The prices of these will only go up and these are £80 everywhere else.

Should I click order?

It is a very good PSU, Xfx has made a very strong entry into the market with their power supplies. They are based off the Seasonic M12d, which is widely considered to be one of the best 500-850w unit out there. Corking price for an excellent bit of kit, although the lack of modular cables would put me off a bit.

How much would a 850w modular unit of the same quality cost?

The cable management in the 690 ii should make it a little easier with cable management.

I'm trying to keep costs down on the build and this seems to be the best psu for £68.

Just to clarify, does it do crossfire. I'm 99% sure it does but I just want to confirm this.

yes it does, it has 2X 6pin and a further 2X 6+2pin PCI-E connectors, so its got the quality/power and the connectors.

Seen the same PSU as you Mark, I'm very tempted to get this one too. If its the website I think it is (not sure if I'm allowed to name it) but I'm sure if you pick the 5-7days shipping option, then its free delivery.

Should be ok as long as you dont overclock the cards too high, or run crazy apps like furmark.
