just wondering, why dont you guys stock these cards? I know of a place that gets around 5-10 in a week at a price cheaper than any other gtx on ocuk (apart from your current ocuk branded card offer)
Are these cards poorer in quality in some way? i dont want to buy from a manufacturer that has unpublicised problems...

Even if its a few people who had such bad experiences from XFX i want to stear clear of them. The fact Ocuk does not stock their products anymore and the information about them closing their forums and customer support even if for a short period has disgusted me.
Thanks for all the replies and gibbos quote even if it did turn into a bit of a fan boy thread! I will probably go with gibbos reccomendations in that quote and get a BFG or EVGA card :)

btw i dont want to start an argument or anything but the quote from that D guy sounds like hes just trying to sell XFX cards :p sure gibbo could be doing the same, then again i trust him having read more than one of his posts

To the OP : the 8800gtx cards you are referring to are all reference in design so each has the same possibility of failure, if you believe the XFX bashing going on here then its probably best to stay clear of them although I would consider there are countless thousands who have not had such problems...just a thought ;)

The argument over which company is better didnt really interest me, and i know the fact all cards are usually refernece design. What did effect my decision was the after sales support which from what ive heard (closing forums and customer services completely) is pathetic. Hence my reason not to go for an XFX card.

I think other etailers still stock the cards because either they havent had as many problems OR they dont want to cut out XFX enthusiasts from their sales. Some people love xfx and will skip an etailer then go onto another just so the can get the same refernence card but branded XFX purely over personal experience. Nothing wrong with that. I just dont like taking risks, especially over a £400 card :)
