I have this card on a P5N SLI board, but it TDR's at factory shipped frequency, which is overclocked from 611 to 685Mhz.

It is only stable at 650.

Is this a common problem with the card, and how do I resolve it?

Should I increase PCI Express clock speed? Currently at 100, never touched it.

If its not stable and you can't volt mod there is not much you can do really. I found the 8800s overclocks gradually degraded over time. What are the temps like, if you push fan speeds up that can boost stability a bit.

Changing the PCI Express Clock speed can help 8 series cards considerably, but it comes at a risk of data corruption and video card failures.
A bump of 5Mhz or so on the PCI Express Clock I have heard can get a small 0.4~0.7% extra overclock. Its not really a common place practice though, so I can't say much more, never tried that myself.

Thanks, I wanted to know if the issue I was seeing was commonplace. I think I'll leave the card to run at this and then upgrade once it bites the dust.
