XFX - Be Aware Regarding Waterblock/Warranty

Just a quick note to state that the XFX 7970 warranty is very different between the UK and the U.S and you will not be covered in the UK if you pop the stock cooler off for a water-block or TIM re-application.

The XFX U.S/Canadian warranty does allow for this.

It is easy to get confused as most of the XFX support info is on the U.S support site and you are automatically re-directed there.

I don't know why XFX run a different warranty between the EU and U.S/Canada, all it does is confuse.

I own four XFX 7970 cards, one of them went pop after a week with a VRAM fault, I am now down to three

pretty much all of them yes.

We get shafted with the price, then we get shafted with the warranty when compared to our Brothers over the pond!

Yeah, XFX were kind enough to put some 'void if removed' stickers over the retention plate screws on my 6950's.
