Basically is it worth waiting to save up for the 260, price to performance which is better?

yep 260 without a doubt m8 for the price you can pick them up now would b silly realy
looks like im saving for one of these gtx 275s that have just come out!

May as well save up, but depends on resolution of your monitor. 250 only needs 1 6 pin pci-e connector where as 260 needs 2.
They are but almost £100 dearer than the 260's. You get what you pay for.
Also note that the 4890 seems to beat the 275's in the first reviews and costs less.
i have a 750W thermaltake toughpower psu with plents of PCI-E power leads, in fact i think its got an 8-pin or 2
