XFX GTX 260 - high temps?

I'm a little concerned about the temperatures I'm getting running my new XFX GTX 260 and was wondering if anyone could advise.

It idles at around 50C and regularly reaches 75-80C when I'm gaming. Are these temperatures normal? They seem quite high to me. I've not done any overclocking or anything like that, the card is running at stock. Should I be concerned or are these temperatures ok?

Yeah those temps are perfectly normal... the default fan profile is balanced for quieter operation... you can tweak it if you like tho its a little bit advanced.

Off the top of my head 78C is the rated operating temperature and 85C the point where the card will start to take more aggressive measures to cool itself - critical temps are around 105C at which point it will mad throttle back or power off to prevent thermal damage.
