Hi all.

A couple of questions.

I currently have 2 GTX 275's in sli and I was wondering wether now would be the time to ditch them and go for a GTX 295? Would there be any advantages to this? A lot of people I have spoken to have said that my current gpu setup is the equivalent on a 295 but I thought I would ask the question on here. Also when I game the temps get up around the 70 degree mark, is this normal or are they getting to hot? I use real temp as my usual guide but of late ive been using the EVGA precision tool as well. The cards are clocked a little to core 655 shader 1452 and memory 1150 if this helps.

Cheers

Yeah your two 275's in sli is the same as 295 performance wise so forget about getting one, 70c temps is spot on and cool by GPU standards.

the 295 is effectively two 275 cores, so don't bother buying one.

If you are interested in a performance boost, you might to look at the 5970 range or wait until nvidia fermi cards rumoured q1 2010.

As for those temperatures you are fine, most cards handle up to 90 within safe operational temperatures =)

Thanks for the replies guys, im new to all this. I game at 1600 x 900 res at the moment on a 20" monitor but im upgrading to a 28" which will run at 1920 x 1200 res. Ive been told my cards will be fine with this, is that right? Also the higher the res I guess the cards are going to have to work harder so temps will increase right??
