Hi first thread here so ill start by saying hi to all.
now down to the problem lol...
I bought a XFX hd 7950 , it worked fine no problems etc one night i turned the pc off went to bed as you do got up the next day went to turn on my pc and nothing happened finally worked it down to the graphics card tripping the power pack out , removed card and hey presto pc working fine booting up as normal.
Ive also found if i remove one of the plugs on the card the pc will boot up obviously the card wont work as it isnt getting enough power , just wondering if anyone else has had this or am i going to have to RMA the card? , problem is i dont know how i stand with the warranty as i moved and lost the box with all the receipts in and the original cooler as i fitted an after market one , any help would be much appreciated thanks .
I have had a look at the card and cant see anything burnt broken or otherwise any signs of something wrong with it.
motherboard gigabyte 78lmt-usb3
power pack , powercool x-viper 750
currently running a friends borrowed hd6870 (but guessing he gonna want it back soon
)
