Hi guys, all i want to know, is will a hd4890 play all games? im just wondering because my mate says because it hasnt got physx, it wont play all games? And whats the difference between this card, and the nvidia ocuk 260 216 edition?? Much appreciated, cheers xx

lol i am a NOOB, so the 4890 is a good card to replace my 8800gt alpha dog? and will it last for a while before i have to upgrade again?

either the radeon 5830 or the gtx460 1gb , depends on which you prefer tbh . the gtx460 is the faster card i think but not much in it tbh , but both should be fine depending on what res you game at

I'm running a Sapphire 4890 and it doesn't struggle to run any of my games at a resolution of 1920x1200.

Over the last couple of months I have been playing Age of Conan, Borderlands, Lord of the Rings Online, Star Trek Online, BattleField 2 and Supreme Commander 2. All on high detail settings. They all look fantastic.
The fan on the 4890 sometimes has to kick up a gear but the frame rates never dip below 35 fps.
Sadly, a capacitor in my Corsair PSU exploded whilst playing Borderlands but that's another story
