XFX OR ASUS GFX?

Almost sold my XFX 7800 GTX on ebay. Going for a 7900 GTX 512mb.

Question: Which one is better the Asus or the XFX? Can't find much info on these cards and was just wondering if anyone knows anything

Not with my dead A8V they wern't.

To be honest, i've only heard bad things about XFX over the past years, not to mention their fans are somewhat noisier than their counterparts.

All the same, some will be clocked differently. I.e overclocked at the factory, but tbh just get the standard OcUK one, it's something like £187 atm

Yes, but only with their GFX cards as far as i know, thats why OcUK would only sell them again if they could handle the RMA's, which they are doing.

err. I would seriously think about NOT buying a 7900GTX atm, especiallly if it's factory overclocked.

There are lots of reported problems, mostly from XFX & other overclocked versions

I bought an XFX 7900GTX 675/1700 at the weeked (not from OcUK ) - have had massive problems in most games, unless the card in under clocked!! wtf

I've currently got an XFX 7800 gtx not an overclocked one. never had no problems.

I was going to get the XFX 7900 (not the oc'd one), If I want an overclocked gfx I'll do it myself. Not paying for it!

Got to get a new one now, mine will be sold via auction by tomorrow.

I'm leaning more towards the XFX 7900 not the Asus one atm...

the pre overlocked ones generally use better components thats why that overclock more

no they dont.

they all use the same PCB and just have modded bios and different badged coolers.

I couldn't overclock my preclocked BFG 7800GT by even 25mhz without it crashing.
