XFX R9 290 RMA

I have an R9 290 that I purchased on Ebay back in August which is in Warranty until the end of January and it unfortunately died on me about 2 weeks ago.

Since I cannot get ahold of the original receipt from the original owner, I was told to go though XFX directly, so I have a few questions.

I was also told by XFX I would need to pay shipping fees and tax.

Is XFX's RMA base UK based? how long do they normally take?

I would say that it would be around 2-3 weeks maybe 4 but that would be pushing it in most cases

From what i've heard their RMA process is meant to be a horror story if you go with them direct, that's why OcUK stopped selling their cards a while back and are only selling them now as they've come to an agreement regarding the RMA situation.

I wish you all the best, hopefully it won't be a horror story.

I do hope so, I don't mind paying £20-30 in shipping if it means I don't lose a card worth nearly £200
