Anyone ever had to use xfx's rma service, and how good was the service, my gtx 280 xt may be on its last legs, from a quick bit of google searching theyre rma service doesnt seem to get glowing reports.

When i tried to return a motherboard, they simply wouldnt give me an RMA number, took up to 3 days for a response sometimes, and it was very basic technical stuff.

My 4870X2 failed within 3 months of usage, sent it back to Overclockers who then sent it to XFX, This was the end of October. Dec 3rd got a full refund from Overclockers.

Is it possible to send it back to the retailer, was it from Ocuk as they mention a priority service, not sure if it's only ATI cards:

***EXCLUSIVE Premium Priority 2 Year Warranty***

In the unlikely event of your card failing within 2 Years, OcUK will replace your card with a brand new one, pending testing within our standard RMA terms and conditions (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/support.php)

Had a XFX 8800GTX that was over a year old, sent it into OCUK who then within a week sent me out a Gigabyte GTX 260 :)

yup xfx suck so bad its been 6 weeks and im still waiting for this rma!!! might have to demand a full refund from the online store it was purchased from !!!!

Unfortunately the card wasnt purchased from ocuk, the etailer i got it from is listed as a main uk dealer on the xfx support page, im gonna keep using the card over the next few days and see if the problem persists, as the strange thing is its only failing on one game (race driver grid), ive ran furmark, played arma2 and cod mw2 without issue, id really like to be sure that its definitely faulty as the cost of delivery on any rma is going to be pretty high.

I would rather cut off my own face and stitch on piers morgans' in it's place than go through the XFX RMA service again. I wish you all the best of luck and I hope they have improved.

XFX offer a double lifetime warranty but only in the US and Canada. In the UK, and EU they offer no real warranty support at all. That is why retailers who sell XFX products handle XFX warranties. You'll find that retailers will offer two years as this is the minimum requirement for technical products under EU law.
