XFX6870BE Mini DP Qeustion

i have the xfx 6870 black edition

currently run 1 dvi monitor of the dvi port
1 vga monitor off the 2nd dvi/vga port

now the question i have (as there are so many available) is about the active minidp > vga adapter

(ino im linking a competitor, OCUK dont sell these anyways but if it must be removed just say so)

I have an xfx mini active adaptor. It's DVI not VGA though.

Does it have to be to VGA?

I would get the StarTech Mini DisplayPort to DVI Active Adapter version, it's about £20.

it does, 2 of my monitors are vga only unfortunatly

Well I have a StarTech displayport to VGA that looks exactly like the one you linked, except it's a full displayport instead of mini displayport. And it works brilliantly for Eyefinity.

According to that list, the adapter you linked is indeed fine for Eyefinity. It gets AMD's gold rating so it will work fine.
