XGL vs AIGLX

I am a bit out of my depth here but is the following all true:

1) If i run XGL it messes up openGL and some 3D games won't work

2) AIGLX is now an option for Nvidia users because some new drivers are out

3) The question is does using AIGLX mean your 3D games will be OK or in that respect is it the same as XGL?

4) I get the impression that AIGLX is better than XGL - is this tru and if so why?

XGL is a bit of a hack tbh, its just a layer on top of the regular x server.

1) True
2) NVIDIA graphics card which is supported in the 9xxx-series proprietary driver.
3) Yep
