Instead of the standard CSS and XHTML valid icons are there any better ones about? I'm sure they didnt used to be so butt ugly a while back. I seem to remember them being really slim and silver?

Ive had a poke around at http://www.w3.org/Icons/ but no luck. :(

These are the default ones by the way incase you have no idea what Im moaning about :D

How do you mean?

People use them to point out/claim that there website meets standards. So if you have created a website that is XHTML 1.0 valid, then you could add
slogoxhtml10ra8.png
to your page. If it doesn't, however, then it would be silly to put it on your website. Some people might say it's silly to put them on your website anyway, but it's up to you. :)

In an ideal world, we shouldn't need to boast that our website is XHTML/CSS valid. It should be anyway.

I hope one day it will be seen the same way as someone putting:

"IN COLOUR!" at the bottom of the site.
