I have the xi-fi xtreme music scard in my system, but during gaming i get very bad crackling sounds. I have all the latest drivers etc but nothing seems to fix it. If i use the onboard i get no crackling. Anyone know what may be causing this. And also what is the best sound card currently available for gaming?

Whats the rest of your specs mate.

This is a very common problem. Try the latest drivers from creatives website, motherboard bios update and changing PCI slots are some of the things you can try to rectify the problem
