I was hoping QC to learn from the 888 and optimised the 8 gen 1 with better thermals and throttled performance (like they did with 810 to 820), but this doesn't look promising. Should be fine for a normal user, but anyone who games for example won't be having a good time.

I've just been looking at some of their range (as well as the Redmi and Poco phones) and it seems a lot of phones these days are doing away with the headphone jack.

Exactly right? Especially since since 888 was their previous CPU. I will be gaming, not extensively so not looking good but I'm still tempted.
