Xiaomi blocking Circle to Search (and probably other things)

Moved from a Pixel 8 to Xiaomi 14T Pro recently, didn't like the Pixel 8 (had a few bugs, slow, preferred the Xiaomi Mi11 I had before it). Annoyingly, Xiaomi appear to block Circle to Search and other gesture interactions if you use a different launcher to their own.

Just in case anyone has seen something similar and found a solution, I thought i'd check in on here!

One of the reasons I hate Xiaomi devices. They also block gesture navigation if you use a different launcher. Very anti-consumer.

Not had an issue like this previously, the inbuilt theme system doesn't allow for the kind of customization I like either.... There's a few apps complaining and hoping Xiaomi will go back and fix this issue.
