Xiaomi Mi Max

I am planning to buy a Xiaomi Mi Max just because of it's big screen and price factor. I am getting it really cheap from Toby deals as they have got that on offer. I would be using it just to watch movies as I am too lazy to watch it on TV.

Any reviews or somebody used it?

Make sure your unit has the global rom

That review goes back to May of 2016 so, I guess by now, global ram Mi Max would be available readily.

Depends if it ships with or you have to manually install though.

Ive had one a few months with international rom and cannot fault it. On vodafone so 4g varies but i get it in bristol and some other places. Great phone if you can put up with the size.

Had it 3 weeks. Absolutely love it. Wouldn't go back to a 5.5" phone now.
MIUI is surprisingly nice, although i put on Nova Launcher so I could have an app drawer.
Battery life ie superb.

Global stable rom is out. Mine came with a vendor rom, and it took 5 mins to flash. Which I'd never done before.

Size is somewhat of a an issue with me. Any problems carrying it in jeans pocket?

How's the sunlight view-ability? I've heard it has an IPS LCD rather then LED so it's bound to have that I guess.

No, fits in normal work pockets, although big.

Screen is lovely and bright, had zero issues. Although I am up north. Limited sun.

tempted to get this monster. i will have to see how much bigger it is than my redmi note 3.

edit

damn it dwarfs the note 3. and uses the same camera so i guess i am out for now. i will wait to see what comes out later in the year.
