I have a mate who has one, the airflow is decent but not amazing. One 120MM in the front, one in the back, and the airflow from the front one is obstructed by the drive cages. Pretty standard really.
Its reasonably quiet, I certainly wouldn't consider the noise level intrusive, but it is even quieter if you use a fan controller, PWM fans, in-line resistors, or motherboard fan header speed control. I turned his fans down a touch using the fan speed control in his BIOS and it is now very quiet indeed.
The case is quite nice to work with as well, nothing special, but it is solid, and it has reasonable cable management potential. The front is also soft touch which is nice. Can't ask for more at the price point really.
I personally prefer the Alfar because of the different drive bay covers (and a few other minor differences) but I suppose that is just down to personal preference.
