Xigmatek Pantheon Mid Tower Case

This case when released was twice as much to buy than it is now, so quality wise it must be pretty decent for £35, but the only drawback to the case which I assume reflects the cheap price is the weird cooling layout.

The case has no front fan drawing air in, but instead two fans pulling air in and out via the side panels across the hard drive bays. In reviews because of this the cooling is pretty rubbish, although at the price it is currently it's probably a decent buy as long as you aren't expecting miracles cooling wise as it does still have some nice features.

Just to bump this thread up, as I now have this case myself.

I wanted to replace my old Zalman Z9+ for purely visual reasons and to pass my old case on to a family member, and since this was selling for £60+ pretty much everywhere apart from OCUK I thought I would take a chance at £36 delivered.

And the verdict? Well it certainly isn't anywhere as bad as I thought it may be, and after swapping about the fans it actually cools better than the Zalman from the tests I'd made with both my i3 2100 under Intel Burn Test (40C vs 37C on the cores with a Thermaltake Frio), and my MSI 6870 Hawk under MSI Kombuster (66C vs 61C). I also had all fans on medium setting for the tests.

+ Points
hot swappable hard drive bays, rubber cable grommets, huge space for a large radiator at the top if watercooling, plenty of fan mounting space, and two fan control dials for 6 fans, subtle looks, plenty of room for the larger sized graphics cards.

- Points
short fan cables on the included fans, hard to route 8 pin cable via back of the motherboard, loud fans when on max cooling.

Just thought I would put this out there, as it's no where near as bad as some reviews make out! Build quality is also at least as good as the Zalman Z9+ it replaced, if not better.
