Hey folks.

I ordered a new system, and all the parts have finally arrived.

Foxconn k8M890M2MB Motherboard
AMD X2 64 5000+
2gb DDR800 Elexir
OcUk 8800GTX
Audigy 2
Xilence Gaming Edition 600W
AC Artic Cooler Pro

Anyhow, I've noticed on the motherboard that there is only one fan socket connector aside from the CPU fan. I've checked the motherboard diagram and from what I can gather this is the system fan (it doesn't say anything on the motherboard itself, and the diagram that came with the mobo seems to show a slightly different model).

Now, I have two system fans, so one is going to be redundant. What worries me however is the PSU, as there is now no room to plug the PSU fan into the motherboard. Will the PSU fan still work? And if I need to plug the PSU fan instead of the System fan, will my computer overheat?

As you can gather I'm a little worried. The other thing of course is that I cant seem to find a power cable that fits the motherboards ATX 12v Power Connector, and the power supply seems to come with an American power lead... which makes me wonder if the PSU will still be fine when I connect the standard kettle-wire.

I do realise the motherboard I purchased was a little on the cheap side, but unfortunately I had an extremely limited budget.

Thanks in advance for any helps folks!

Only bit I can help out with is:
Check to see if theres a switch on the PSU to change from 110v to 240v, or check the PSU manual to see if it can switch automaticly.

Oh, and the PSU fan is powered internally by the psu. you just need to plug your CPU fan into the motherboard.

I cant see a switch, but it does say 115/230v on the PSU so I assume it'll switch automatically? (I'd check the manual... but it doesn't have one.)

I noticed that with the 450W we have ordered at work, only came with the american power lead, apparently this is possibly illegal according to my boss.

I am using a power lead i had already and it works fine, so must switch internally. With regards to the 4 pin power connector, the 8 pin plug that it comes with actually pulls apart to leave u with 2 4pin connectors. Only one of these will fit though, due to the shape of the individual plugs.

Hope this helps.
