Xilisoft Video Converter Ultimate

may not be optimized to do so, i only use video encoding software that uses all 4 cores + the four virtual cores

I have a Q6600 and Xilisoft uses all four of my cores. :)

In fact, the main reason I use it is because of it's multi-core support.

I did, It looks like its using the 4 physical cores and not the extra 4 hyperthreaded cores , is that a realtime screenshot you put up of yours ?

not all software can use 4 physical cores , never mind 4 hyperthreaded ones as well

asim18 posted, that it has multi-core support, and yes thats what i just put up, and its not using up all 4 cores otherwise they would be at 100%?

no it would be at 50% , when it says multicore support id bet good money it means physical core support, not hyper threaded cores or imaginary cores, I doubt it is going to use any core to 100% utilisation anyway because of other things running in the background at the same time, so i dont think your doing too bad there as it is.

your pretty much using 60% of your physical cores
