Have the chance to buy a benq xl2420z 144hz monitor from a friend for a £120 and I was just wondering if this is a good monitor or would the money be better spent on newer tech....it was bought in2014 used for 2 months then boxed back up ...so it's out of warranty but had little use

colours are whack, but responsiveness for competitive FPS/MOBAs will be top notch.
144hz 1080p generally costs around £200 new these days.

if you play a lot of competitive multiplayer games, you will probably appreciate this screen.
