xmas game bought online, opened, want to take it back

EULA idea for me is best. You can't read the EULA til you open and attempt to install the game, so they can't possibly complain about the fact that the packaging has been removed. Try that. Most places these days refuse returns for PC games on the grounds of having an unsuitable computer, as you are told to check the specs before hand. The Mac areguement is even worse, if you had a Mac why on earth would you open the packaging before realising it wouldn't work?

hey, i work for GAME. and there is no chance you will get ** money back once they are opened

tried getting my mum mto email them today and she was "busy" so will try something tomorrow. im having huge doubts that this will work. If putting them on MM are they likely to sell for near what they are worth brand new? if so might just do that once MM comes open and be glad that i got anything for them tbh

my mum got me 2 games for xmas that i thought were going to be of my taste however really weren't so i want to take them back. Problem i have is that 1 i have opened the disc and installed so the plastic sleeve isn't on the game no more, it was bought online so i cant go into a store and explain with them.

What are the chances of my being able to get a refund on the 2 games?

i was planning on pleading ignorance and saying that they don't work on my pc as its "too old" to play them games and say i didn't understand all the jargon about the system requirements.

the games are never winter nights 2 and flight simulator x

thanks

How do you know the second game isn't to your taste?

at first i was like huh? but after reading my poorly worded post i realise my mistake. when isaid "hte problem is 1 i have opened", what i was meaning to say and obvsiouly didn't continue with it is "problem is 1 i have opened the disc, and 2 blah blah blah...".

You feeling me? Sos for the misunderstanding there. Lately my wording has gone from ok, to bad, to rerally bad, to OMG what the heck is that guy saying.

Take the game back, say your machine won't read the disc - you should be given an exchange.

Get somebody else to take the game back the same day, with receipt - and you have yourself a refund.

Edit: Doh, forgot he said he bought it online! :o

Thats the problem with pc games once you buy you have to keep which leads to pirate copies to help you decide.
I bought MS Train Simulator, and took it back the following day...£50 was too much for what it was. :p
