XML advice

Hi,

Any one any decent links covering the basics of XML that isn't complete tech speak? From understanding what it is, to actually using it in real life applications.

My colleagues have to record figures every 30 mins for a bingo game on a well known Bingo site...it's a ball ache as its constantly missed.

Google shows a post that they offer xml info to affiliate sites so I've requested permission to have the info for it.

I need to know how to use that info to get what I want Get it to record the info from them every 30 mins from 8am until midnight.
