XML editor

I'm looking for a basic XML editor to mod some files for a game, can anyone recommend a good one? A freeware or 30 day free trial will suffice.

I'm well aware of search engines but Id rather go with a trusted and recommended one from the good folks at the OcUk forums

Make sure to also get the Package Control Manager. Seriously this is the best editor ever!

I don't really understand what that does, what are you meant to do with it?

Edit: Oh right, like a plugin manager.

It has a nag screen after every 5-10 saves so it can get annoying, but its worth $50!

From personal experience I can suggest Liquid XML Editor or if you want a free one I cam xmlfox is okay as well,

Altova XmlSpy is very good. Not free, but does have a trial.

If you are looking for something more basic then Notepad++
