When i went into my local model shop (models in motion) the other day I overheard someone talking about xmod cars, they're little electric 1/28 scale moddable cars. Anyone got one as i think i may get one or two and have a play around with them. Are they actually any good?

Also i'm thinking of getting another nitro car soon and im really stuck on what to get, at the moment i have a schumacher xtr (superfast stadium truck) and want to get something different, problem is I dont know whether to get a road car, monster truck or a buggy. At the moment im erring towards the monster truck (probably a savage x) as i dont really have anywhere to play with a road car and buggys look like they will be to similar to the car i already have (unless your talking about the hpi baja ;) but thats a bit out of my price range lol).

So what should i get? :)

You should get a big stick much cheaper and nearly as fun.

Ok i dont really want to ak this but... "whats a big stick"? Just incase it isn't a piece of old wood. :o

Anywho...

Yeah they do look quite interesting, the bloke in the shop said they were damn fast, i saw some racing on the video showing in the shop and they looked good. Would make a change from my nitro which I spend more time fiddling with than using. :( :p

So there is a large difference between the two types, i'm wondering about the monster truck because of the ground clearence and its more all terrain nature. I did wonder about the revo but was told its more of a racing one as opposed to a bashing one (and the price difference) and so i think a savage is the way to go. The guys at models in motion seem to agree (they sell all the major monster trucks so im inclined to believe them) as well.

I also agree with Munkyman! My xtr looks a state at the moment, damn mud and dust! ;)

I already have an xtr for the donuts, powerslides and speed (50-70mph) so the truck will be used for playing around on terrain that my xtr cant handle and to just play with the xtr (makes them sound like pets  ) although obviously im not expecting it to keep up. Are buggys that much different to a stadium truck in handling and driving or a bit pointless if you already have a truck?

Im still currently hoping (very unlikely :( ) my dad will come round to paying 50% towards a HPI Baja, if he does, stuff the monster truck i'm getting that! :p

Anyone konw the real differences between the standard and the evo models? lots of places say they are faster but not whether they are faster when the engines have been swapped out.
