Hello, I'm trying to set up XMP and overclock an i9 processor on an Arorus Z390 Master board, but the XMP default profile isn't working. The RAM is called Teamgroup Xtreem 16gb 4133. Basically I just want XMP to work and I'm not finding any guides for this hardware.

Could someone link me to one, or talk me through what changes I need to make?

2 DIMM setup on a t topology board. Probably not a good success ratio.

I have the 4000mhz kit and it can’t load xmp on my z390 pro. I’m having to run manual timings because the board hits a frequency wall at 3600mhz.

If I was in the return window, I’d return that board and an Asus apex or invest in another pair of memory kit.

Have you updated your motherboard BIOS to the latest version?

A friend had similar issues on his Z390 Gaming X (also from Gigabyte) with the 8 Pack Ram, until he updated his BIOS.

After updating BIOS, all was hunky dory :)

to run such a high frequency kit you will probably need to tune your VCCIO and VCCSA voltages.
i was running a teamgroup xtreem 4000mhz kit on a maximus xi hero and i had to set
VCCIO = 1.18v
VCCSA = 1.15v

your system might need more or less of these voltages tho. i think i read somewhere you should not go above 1.2v for these voltages as it can degrade the IMC on your CPU.
