Hi guys having absolutely no joy with this on an ASUS Maximus XI code - when using XMP 1 or 2 in the bios causes system instability (usually failure to boot).

I've managed to manually get it up to 3600 but i'm still seeing crashes of memory intensive software on desktop.

It's passed RMA (with OCuk) and Windows memory diagnostic.

Will post current settings in a bit.

You have to remember that not all boards/cpu's will be capable of 4266mhz memory. It's also a new chipset so the bios is constantly evolving through updates. For your board 0903 is the latest bios version. The previous version, 0805 had improved memory stability so if you have a older version flash to the latest and you may find things improving. Do not use windows based flashing tools download the bios to a USB stick (I believe you need to rename the bios but instructions are on Asus download page) and then either use your boards USB Flashback or go into the bios and under the tools tab you will find the EZ Flash 3 tool.

Cheers, but It seems to have gotten worse since the latest bios update tbh. That also coincided with my 9900k dying....

The problem is because you're using a 2 DIMM kit, not 4. There are no 4266 2 DIMM kits validated for the Code. This is due to the T-Topology trace layout that favours 4 DIMM configurations.

I've had 4266 running with 4 DIMMs on the Formula (same DRAM topology) for a few months now.
