Hi, just got a set of Corsair Vengeance LPX 64GB (4x16GB) 3000 and they work fine but if I set the XMP profile it turns off the CPU’s Turbo Mode and locks the frequency at 3.75Ghz. I turned the Turbo Mode back on and looked at the clock speed in cpuz and it was over 4.6Ghz. Is there any way to run this RAM @ 3000Mhz and still use the Turbo Mode, maybe change the turbo range?

Thanks.

i would reset bios and maybe update if you dont have the most uptoday stable one
I think XMP set the bus speed higher to get 3000Mhz on the ram that would be why you getting it locked to 3.75Ghz

On the newest BIOS and did a reset to default. Looks like anything over 2133 is considered overclocking so it locks the multiplier. I have tried 2133, 2400 and 3000 and 2133 is the only way that the CPU frequency goes up and down. Think I will run it at 2133 as I like to have lower temp/power. I only got the faster RAM as it was only £20 more than the 2133 stuff and will be better when I upgrade the CPU down the line.

try to lower the times if your running at a slower speed.
