so i have just built my system which included the listed items below. Booted it up no problems at all then i noticed my ram is running at 2142mhz and not the rated speed. So restart system into the bios and selected XMP, restarted the system and the system wont post. Tried the following:
checked the xmp profile against the recommended and cant see any difference and updated the bios.

Any ideas how to fix this issue??? Many thanks

I7 7700K
ASUS MAXIMUS FORMULA IX MOBO
16GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB LED DDR 4000
NVIDIA 1080 TI
SAMSUNG 960 PRO

Bump the ram voltage up to 1.45v and see if it boots.

There's no guarantee your 7700k can run the ram at 4000.

Latest bios? 1009 I think is the Asus latest.
Ram in the right slots?
Maybe you need to set some bios settings manually? Dram, vccio, and system agent voltages manually. Maybe try tweak modes or dram training in the DRAM settings.

Can the formula board support that ram? I thought the apex was their big boy with high ram speed support

Forget XMP I've found with last few RAM I bought it just doesnt work as it should. So I set it manually according to RAM timings etc.
