XMP Profiles??

its a pre configured profile, basically its a saved profile on the ram that sets up the dram voltage/timings and cpu vtt for you

its a rough guide, you might be able to manually set them up with lower voltages and tighter timings, but if you dont want to mess xmp will/should work fine

Intel Extreme Memory Profile.

Basically a profile stored on the RAM to automatically set speed, timings and voltage to the best settings the RAM is certified for.

If XMP is enabled in the BIOS, and the RAM has an XMP proifile, everything is set automatically.

If there isn't an XMP profile you'll have to enter the settings manually.

How do you access the XMP file? My RAM is at 1333mhz at the moment but they can run at 1600mhz

You enable XMP in the BIOS.

If your RAM has a profile then it'll be used.

If it doesn't then either you won't be able to enable XMP or enabling it won't make any difference and you'll have to enter the settings manually.

Going to give this a try. Thanks.
