XMP with Core i7 920?

Hi,

Is it possible to use the Corsair/Intel XMP profiles with the Core i7 920, or does it only work with the 965 Extreme Edition?

This page seems to go on about the Extreme Edition only :S

Corsair 1600CL8 works fine on the XMP profile on a P6T DL and i920. However using this mode is a bit of a waste as the Asus DOCP mode clocks the bus to get to the right mem speed - ends up faster.

If you intend to OC the CPU then you may need to set the speed manually.
