overclockers uk were less than helpful and ive had 2 pairs of these come up with errors in memtest and crash programs and windows all the time - i just dont know what the recommended timings are for my motherboard.....

if anyone has this combination please tell me what bios settings to use and how to change them for this ram to actually work.

Last i heard from ocuk they dumped some faulty ram back on me and told me to figure out whats wrong......the hyundai tv i bought off em failed the other month too.

Try 2T timing? there are a lot of similar posts on many other forums.

Also go to www.houseofhelp.com on the corsair web site and ask the 'RAM guy', he's a memory guru and will get you going if 2T don't fix it.

You may have to adjust memory/cpu speed and multiplier combo to get the system stable.

I don't think AM2 systems really like 1T timings. I have the same mobo and 2GB of Corsair XMS2-6400C4, and I can barely get anywhere if I leave it at 1T. It's stable at stock but gives me loads of errors if I up the speed at all. The C5 modules mightn't be able for 1T timings. Try 2T and see what happens.

I have the same mobo though with different memory. My combo did not like 1T timings so try 2T first as suggested. The other important thing is that there have been a lot of reports of this motherboard undervolting the memory so I would run the maximum specified voltage for your memory. Mine was 2.3 though it may be different for yours.

Report back with how you got on.

I've just had a look at the specs and it seems says your RAM is rated for 5-5-5-12-1T timings at 1.9 volts. Try using these exact settings and see what happens. If you're still getting errors at those settings then you'd probably be looking at an RMA.
