Xms3 timings

Got mine at 7-7-7-21 its 2x2gb sticks is this good or bad advise please

If the systm stable run with it - but if you start getting random BSODs slacken the timings.

If you want to test its stability run memtest for a few hours and prime95.

just wondered if they good timings in general compared to others using xms3 and yeah it stable

If they're XMS3 12800 running @ 1600Mhz then the timings are a solid running at full spec.

If they're XMS3 10666 @ 1333Mhz then it's not so impressive.

Run CPUz and look at the SPD tab - what's the 'part number' and the 'max bandwidth'?

part number cmx4gx3m2a1600c9 and max bandwidth pc3-10700H (667 mhz )

You have 12800 memory - could you now look at the memory tab and read the 'frequency'?

NB frequency 2009.2 mhz
Dram frequency 669.7 mhz

Your memory is only running at 1333 (2 x 669.7) which explains why you're capable of running such tight timings.

Go into the BIOS and set the memory timings, frequency and voltages manually (try 1.5V, 1600MHz and 9 9 9 24 - if you have problems up the voltage to 1.55v).

Once stable - try and experiment with the timings (if you want to - there wont be much benefit in day to day usage).
