Just put some [size=+1]XMS3200C2PT into my Asus A8n-SLI MoBo.

Running at:
2 - 3 - 3 - 8 - I got sisoft results of 4463 (int) and 4475 (float)

Running at:
2 - 3 - 3 - 6 - I got results of 4532 and 4523

I would have expected much bigger differences than this - am I correct in thinking that:

2 - 3 - 3 - 6

Cas - 2
Ras to Cas - 3
Row Precharge - 3
Min Ras active time - 6

Any comments ?

I had some of this memory and if I remember correctly, it should do 2-3-2-5-1t @ 200 (thats 2gig btw).

Cheers - what kind of performance increase will that produce ? I was slightly underwhelmed by how little differece the changes I made in my original post....

Quite honestly you probably won't notice any performance increase unless you're into bench marking. Obviously going from 512 of 2700 memory running at 3-3-3-8-2t to 2gig 3200 memory running at 2-3-5-1t, IS going to be noticeable, but ppl here already have half decent memory anyway, so the performance increase "in most cases" won't be noticeable. I really can't see the point in expensive memory unless you're overclock the nuts out of it and run benchies all day. Good midrange memory will be sufficient, running in or around 200mhz with reasonably tight timings (2-3-2-5-1t) on a divider, with an AMD A64. Imho, its better to get some decent memory, and spend the difference on say the graphics card and /or the cpu, that way you WILL see a difference in gaming etc.
Of course, if you already have a top notch system and want some top grade memory to play with, then fair enough and I'm all for that, but as I said elsewhere, loadsa ppl here expect to stick some good midrange memory in and expect it to fly, unfortunately it won't.

2nd that. Mine run at 2,3,2,5, 1t @ 200 @ 2.6v. Have taken them up to 205mhz with these timings and volts but have never tried any higher. Could never get them stable at 2,2,2,5, 1t
