Hi,

Got this stuff allready (1Gb) but am just wondering what clocks people have got on them. Currently running at stock, have tried a bit of overclocking, got the CPU (x2 3800) at 2.4, so on the 166 divider.

Just wondering if it would be beneficial to lower the CAS to 2.5 and overclock the memory a bit? Its fairly nippy at present, but obviously I may as well see what these sticks can do. Bit new to o'cing memory you see.

see sig

also had it running 3 3-3-8 @500 mhz no probs at all - however 500 mhz at theses timings only gave 700 3d2001 marks extra lol .

for AMD the default is 2.5
for INTEL the default is 2

ive seen some poeple running 2-3-3-6 on amd platforms but mine wouldnt do it so i guess its random luck

Cool, thanks for the reply, so thats roughly 227mhz at that speed going by your sig.

I'm off work all this week so will get a proper chance to see what they can do.

How old are your sticks?

Anyway, cheers, hard to get any decent info on these. :)

Edit, my sticks will run at CL2-3-3-6 at around default speed.

i got them in December when i upgraded my pc from nf7/barton to A64 system in sig .

I did a lot of O/C testing and was pleased to see that this ram will run at pc4000 no problems at 3-3-3-8 with processor clocked to 2.2 i.e HT at 250 and mem set to 200

however i have settled on ht of 275 and mem set at 166 this gives me a processor speed of 2,5 gig ( from 1.8) and ram at 454 2.5 3-3-6 if you drop the ram to 133 i think it ends up running as 399 or 401 mhz , cannt remember lol

unfortunately cannt get this mobo above 275 , and the venice chips can often run at 2.8 gig and more i.e ht 300 so im thinking of giving the biostar mAtx one a try .

surprinsingly , running the memory at 3-3-3-8@ 500 mhz gave more performance over running at 2-3-3-6 @400 which is not what i expected based on all the posts here saying tighter timimngs are better than mhz .Though the difference was only 700 out of 24000 3dmarks.

Mine do 2,3,2,5 at 2.6v at 205fsb. Havent tried higher than 205 but doubt they go much higher at those timings. Cant get them stable at 2,2,2,5 thou

Cool thanks guys, havent had a chance to try some dif settings yet, just wondering what the best set up would be similar to below:

1. 200FSB @ 2-3-3-6 ish and then run CPU @ 240

2. try and get the mem and cpu in sync at maybe around 220-230FSB with looser timings like Stupido has

3. Really slacken the timings and try and run around 240-250FSB

TBH its fast now compared to my old setup, although I havent really tried much out apart from BF2 and a few encoding tests. Superpi is around 37 seconds at 200 2-3-3-6 and 240 CPU.

wow you guys are lucky with that ram, mine wouldn't do any more than 215 at any timings :(

Well, I am happy to say that mine are sitting happily at 230 (in sync with CPU) @ 2.5-3-3-11 (although i still need to check on correct settings)

I was having some Prime95 and Superpi issues at 240FSB (200Mem), which I think is down to the poor voltage choices on this board. 230 seems good and has given no errors in either test. Also it is faster in SiSoft tests compared to the 240/200 setting.

May try higher, but at this speed its around 28c idle and only 38c when under load on both cores, which seems good to me :D
