When selecting audio settings in Dirt 2 should the 'hardware' option be available when using a Xonar D2X with DS3D GX enabled on the control panel? I know the Xonar cards emulate hardware accelerated audio but I assumed with GX enabled the option would be available but I only have 'software' and 'Rapture3D'? How does this work for other games too, like Mass Effect 2?
I have the latest drivers from Asus website and running under Win7 x64 Ultimate, do I need any other drivers?
My D2X is connected via both analogue and SPDIF to a Onkyo 605 reciever with 5.1 speakers. I mainly use analogue connection for music and games, the SPDIF for DVD's. Control panel is set to 6ch, 96KHz, 5.1 and GX 'on' (Flexbass crossover is on too when using analogue multichannel or I don't get any subwoofer), all other DSP modes are off.
