It's been working fine for a few weeks and all of a sudden there is no sound coming through my speakers but in the sounds menu the green bar is jumping to the best of a song i'm playing :confused:

Also if i open the mixer it only has the bar jumping on 'speakers' not WMP which is what i'm using for audio playback. I'm using vista 64 bit with latest drivers, all the cables are plugged in and lights are lit on the sound card.

Any help would be appreciated

Have you or anybody fiddled with the sound settings? Check of the source audio is correct, usually 2 channels and the other settings don't have anything abnormal and generally something that your speakers don't support.
If nothing helps uninstall, install the drivers.

Nobody has touched it, i was happily listening to music yesterday then after my music playlist stopped i left it for a while, went to push play again and it plays like normal but no cound is coming out the speakers, and i know it's not a problem with them as i tested them with my ps3 and they work fine.

Have you tried a different media player other than WMP to see if the problem is repeated? Before my X-Fi strated screeching Foobar stopped playing for me, but WMP would work (although all crackly). So perhaps try downloading Foobar and quickly test with that. Go in to the preferences and select "Output Device" and make sure your's is selected.

Do you have a link to it? Also there is no sounds such as when Vista is loading up. I think it's boinked
