Bought this card based on the reviews which all seem very good, however I am having problems in deciding what connection goes to the right conector on the front header panel of this card. My cases' cable is the type that has each cable seperate, they are all marked as such: Ear R, Ear L,Return R, Return L, Mic In, Ground,Mic VCC all in theer are seven seperate connectors that merge into one cable. The card does not identify which goes where. Any assistance would be welcomed.

I think it would be the same layout as the front panel header on your motherboard, which should be labeled on the board, or in the manual.

Messed up there.

Had a look at the MB Maunal I can only recognise a few of the names.my front panel audio header on my MB has the following:

Grnd
Presence
Mic Ret
Out Ret
Out2 L
J Sense
Out2 R
Mic2 R
Mic2 L

Which do you think matches the ones on my Case front audio panel cables?

That's the layout for HD Audio. That's assuming your case has HD audio connection and not AC97.

Xonar's can take either HD audio or AC97 connectors, but the layout is different for AC97.
