Xonar DG vs X fi titanium

Will i be able to notice difference in sound quality ?

Yes, it will be worse. Yes the DG has a headphone amp, but other than that the Titanium is better. If you want a headphone amp, I'd either look at getting an external one, or maybe get a SB Z sound card.

I should add that the DG is actually very good card for £20, but it is maybe a third of what the Titanium sold for. Many other PC components improve with each new generation, but it doesn't work like that though in regard to sound cards; so thus a £60 sound card of 7 years is still better than a new £20 one.

Ive just swapped out my X-Fi Elite Pro for one of the £25 Xonar DGX cards.

For vocal recordings I find the DGX to echoey and I don't have as much control over the mic as the audio creation mode of the x-fi gave me

However in games the DGX is a lot better. Im hearing stuff I wasn't hearing with the X-Fi and I can tell where enemies are coming from now :)

Interesting. Speaking from a musical sound quality point of view, I find the X-Fi Xtreme Music to be better than the DG. DG is still good though; however, some people think the DG is rubbish in comparison. Comes down to personal taste really I guess.

Well thanks for the replies guys i think i will stick to my Titanium then, i paid for mine 15 pounds :P second hand off ebay i guess it was a good choice :D
