So my Xonar DGX is having a really annoying problem.. whenever there is more than one application trying to access the microphone at the same time (for example, teamspeak and any game or application, mix and match the combination however you like), there is an annoying static flicker buzz thing in the background :( If I could fix it then I'd be happy, but I've tried different drivers, different headsets and it's the same problem.

Sooooo, my question to you, what is the best sound card (£60 budget) with a built in headphone amp? My headset is the PC350.

Thanks in advanced :D

EDIT:

I have no idea about mixamps etc, so if there is such a thing as an external repalcement for a sound card, which is superior etc, I'm interested in that too!

I think the OEM Soundblaster Z is your only choice at that price range. Apparently it is very good so that's not a bad thing! You could get an external DAC such as the Fiio E7 for around £60. I can't comment on how good it is as I haven't tried it but it does have versatility as it can be used with many devices such as laptops and ipods.

Both the Soundblaster Z and the Fiio E7 have a headphone amplifier yes. The Fiio E7 is advertised as a headphone amp + external DAC.

I think I'll try the soundblaster, I haven't had much luck with ASUS, so I'll try this Creative :D

Cheers buddy :)
