Xonar DX and M-Audio AV40 help

Does anybody have a Xonar DX and a set of AV40's? I've just set these up but the sound is horrible, very flat and too bassy. Would anybody be willing to share there EQ settings please? I have tried playing about with them but I can't get the sound I like.

I do have the Xonar DX, but not Av40s, i would reccomend that you make sure your sampling rate is at 44.1KHz, for starters, and try their preset eqs, to find the closest one, then modify it for your own uses. Also make sure your in music mode or whatever on the right of the control panel.

Thanks for the tip. I have it sorted now but I can hear a lot of crackling noise coming from the speakers when playing some music tracks, but not all. Could this just be a poor quality track? All my music is 320 kbps but I also have some lossless music which have no problems playing.

Nevermind, it was the DFX plugin causing the crackling. Disabled it now.

I always disable all audio "enhancers" or effects when listening to music, tis usually the best option.
