Xonar DX Sound randomly stops. Cured after reeboot

Running Win7 64, and i notice that if my pc has been switched on for long periods of time, the sound will stop working. A reeboot normally fixes it. I just wondered if anyone else has ever had this problem?

I've tried disabling then enabling it in device manager, but it didn't do anything.

It could be powering down to save power. Theres a setting in device manager somewhere for that

No, it's not powering down. I can't find anything in device manager that would do that. It doesn't do it all the time, so i'm guessing its a driver issue.

Could be a driver problem. Might be worth trying Unified Xonar drivers, if there is no other obvious explanation.

i've got the same issues with mine D2X, i think the problem is the new drivers, when i first installed my card i was using drivers provided with sound card, and i had no problems, but now i installed new drivers and now i have the same problem as yours. For me it's when sound hangs up and plays few miliseconds of the sound all the time, until you restart computer. and yeah disabling it in DM doesn't help. will try to put old drivers back, will see if that helps.
