Xonar owners using XP?

Any of you out there?

Vista keeps hanging on install for me lately so I'm on XP but the Xonar is a bit different now.

I used to have Windows set to 5.1 sound on Vista so everything would default to 5.1 (games etc) and then I put Dolby Headphone on (I use my PC with headphones)

But on XP it changes the sound depending on the input you select, so if I pick my headphone socket the sound device is set as headphones, will this cause any issues for me when trying to get 5.1 through Dolby Headphone?

Don't want to load up games and find that the sound constantly reverts back to stereo. (as I recall many games set sound depending on what Windows is defaulting to)

I'm using Sennheiser HD595's, but as I understood it Dolby Headphone needs a 5.1 source, so I just wanted to make sure DH will still work correctly despite XP defaulting to stereo sound in the audio options. (control panel)

i just set mine to headphones and didn't fiddle, i'll have a look later
