xorg 6.9 - 7.0 out

right so these are out, anyone know where to get rpms for suse 10?

cant find any, been looking on google etc..
or could some one guide me on how to biuld from source?

wouldnt have thought it would work with most stuff for a while, you're essentially ripping out a large part of your system and replacing it with the new modular system which is bound to mess a fair few things up.

ive heard that everything works.
got any ideas where to download a suse rpm from?

I've been using it for a few weeks on gentoo. Didn't break anything, and it all works nicely. Don't know about rpm's though.

6.9 RPMs are in here:
ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/supplementary/X/Xorg/Xorg-X11R6.9/i386/suse100/

Please don't forget to read the readme- An upgrade such as this can dump you at a console, and if you can't revert using solely console based tools then you will be stuck

when will we be able to update from yast or synaptic or apt-get etc

I think Xorg 7.0 is to be included in Ubuntu 6.04 (Dapper Drake), 6.9 was on the fast flight CD (flight 3) and seems to be a bit nippier.
