XP 32 Bit + 4GB RAM

Hey all,

Just a quick question...

What would happen if you installed XP 32-Bit and had 4GB of RAM installed?

I'm guessing it would just show as 2GB and ignore the others?

Depends on graphics memory and stuff, but you should see 3-3.5gb

To use the full 4Gb you will need a 64-Bit OS Such as Vista 64 or XP X64.

It will look like this:

I have 2x2Gb sticks installed and 1Gb on my GPU.

Basically XP 32bit can only use 4Gb ram total including whats on your graphics card.

So for example... if I had 4GB RAM installed and a 3870x2 1GB GFX Card - it would show and only use 3GB out of the 4GB installed?
